Educating for the future

We always dreamt things that never were and said ‘why not’. We wanted to make a difference in the lives of children. We challenge stereotypical beliefs about intelligence, ability and academic excellence; for we believe all students are capable of total effort that would lead to good outcomes.

Our aspiration is to foster an atmosphere where all students feel they are valued and their individuality is recognized and nurtured thereby learn in a non-threatening, non-competitive and joyful atmosphere. It was our dream to build a sense of community in the classroom and let the students know it is their class.

Message from Chairman

I would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to TCIS, Whitefield. Our first year of school has been a wonderful achievement thanks to the leadership of a truly visionary and deeply committed Principal, the experience of staff and admin members who have made our first steps possible.

We have tried to provide you with as much information as possible, but we hope you will also find the time to visit us and see the school for yourself. This website will also provide important information about the school for those who are already students here.

It is our aim to offer a quality IB education within a caring and nurturing environment to students from age 2 ½ years through high school. Our school is a welcoming and safe place in which students can develop their confidence and abilities, achieve their full potential in social, academic and other areas. The campus is modern, well-equipped, secure and well-maintained facility and campus that provides an environment conducive to student learning. At all levels, students participate in a range of sports, clubs and extra-curricular activities.
At our school emphasis is placed on each child’s individuality which nurtures them to become life-long learners. Respect for all others and for the school environment is encouraged, and a warm friendly atmosphere is fostered. We find that new students settle in very quickly and happily. Everyone is made very welcome at the school and parents are encouraged to become part of the school life. The year ahead will be exciting as we gain ground on our path.

Message from Head of School

As a Head of School, my goals for the school are many. The first and foremost is to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment filled with opportunities for each student at TCIS to meet their unique potential, be challenged and learn according to their own style. Every child is talented and it is our responsibility to find ways to make those talents emerge.

Our focus at TCIS is to provide each child with new challenges that will result in a rewarding school experience. We understand the concept that all children have different levels of intelligence and their own unique learning styles. Our goal is to ensure that all students become critical thinkers, active problem-solvers, inquisitive readers, diligent researchers and prolific writers. We offer a student-centered program that promotes academic excellence through an enriched, rigorous inter-disciplinary IB curriculum.

TCIS is a school where students are supported and encouraged to grow in all areas- academically, co-scholastic, socially and emotionally. It takes all of us to help each and every child reach his/her potential, thus enhancing learning experiences. It is through being a collaborative learning community with consistent, honest, and open communication that we can best serve our students.
Our facilitator’s work very hard to create an exciting and stimulating learning environment and classrooms are highly focused on the learning needs and interests of the students. We want students to enjoy coming to school and we want them to strive to achieve their learning goals. We want them to take pride in their achievements and value the effort they have put towards that achievement. We have incorporated technology into the curriculum and are proud of the efforts to provide a high level of computer literacy for students and teachers.

Developing quality partnerships with parents is an integral part of our school culture. We are committed to effective communication, taking a pro-active role ensuring parents have their say and feedback is taken positively to improve processes. As your Head of School, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students and parents-are excited to be here! Early Years @ TCIS

At TCIS we ensure the learning is rich, meaningful and visible to the children and learning community. We thrust to create an environment that promotes inquiry. Teachers practice play pedagogy and play an important role in young students’ learning journey.

Primary Years @ TCIS

In order to lay a strong foundation, TCIS Whitefield follows an integrated pedagogical approach during the Primary Years, thereby making the subsequent stages of Middle and Higher Years more meaningful and effortless when the orientation moves up from interdisciplinary concept building and to career orientation in line with the core CBSE philosophy.


Middle Years @ TCIS

During Grade 6 to 8, the curriculum focus on multidisciplinary integration of concepts learned up to Primary Years. The depth and width of conceptual learning is expanded further and children are learned to integrate multidisciplinary concepts through inquiry-led hands-on application.


Higher Years @ TCIS

The over-arching theme of Higher Years is career orientation. The Middle Year learnings are further extended and scholastic specialisation is introduced. Leadership skills are promoted. Children are empowered to do innovation, research and aptitude discovery. Post-school competitive exam preparedness with a global outlook is the key learning outcome at this stage.
